Candidiasis is a fungus found in the human body and, as a general rule, does no harm; however, it sometimes acts against the organism causing various diseases such as the one that bears its name, candidiasis.
This pathology has several ways of showing its symptoms depending on the severity. The most common variety, the mucocutaneous, causes the appearance of white mucosa on the tongue and palate or reddening of the skin folds in areas such as the armpits, the interdigital spaces of the hands or the lateral areas of the neck. Vaginal yeast infection may also occur, accounting for 20 to 30 percent of vaginal infection cases. In the most serious cases, we can speak of systemic candidiasis, which can cause death, although most of the time death is caused by another disease also present.

Candida is usually found in the intestinal flora and feeds on some of the components that are obtained with some foods, such as sugar or carbohydrates, allowing it to reproduce and increase the release of toxins that are harmful to the body. What not to eat To control candidiasis, one of the most effective solutions is not to eat foods that facilitate the spread of candida. Foods with sugar should not be consumed except for fruits, which can be started when the treatment is advanced. Vegetables such as potatoes, carrots or peas should also be avoided during the first months of treatment, due to their high nutritional contributions.
Red meat is another ingredient that should be excluded from the shopping list, but white meat like chicken is allowed, as is fresh fish. Milk products are also not recommended, with the exception of butter or plain yogurts. Wheat flour and yeast, as well as all its derivatives, should be avoided in their entirety.
