One of the advantages of Android is that it offers ample customization possibilities. Even in the hypothetical (and unusual) case that you want your mobile to look like an iPhone, in Google Play you can find many proposals that will help you.
One of them is Launcher iOS 12, a free application in Spanish that already has more than one million downloads and boasts an average rating of 4.8 out of 5. And with this app, your Android phone will look like an authentic iPhone .
From the wallpaper to the control center
Once downloaded and installed Google Play Launcher iOS 12, the first thing we must do is grant the necessary permissions so that the application can access the photos, files, location, contacts, etc. When opening the application we found a simple menu of options in Spanish with two sections: Tools and Utilities. Both the Control Center and the Assistive Touch are additional applications that we will have to download
if we want to enjoy their functionalities.
Both are free and from the same developer as Launcher iOS 12 (LuuTinh Developer), but like the latter, they contain ads (and some moments can be very annoying). In the case of Control Center, it is an essential app if we want our Android terminal to really look like an iPhone.
Within Utilities, we have the Climate app, which is installed by default to show the time to the “iOS style”, and the Wallpapers, where we will find a wide variety of screen backgrounds characteristic of Apple devices. In the same section of Utilities is where we can also adjust the blur effect, choose which apps we want to hide and enable the notification badges.
From there, we can only configure our phone as we like by choosing a background and placing the apps in the order we prefer. As you can see in the images, all the icons acquire the proper appearance of the iOS icons, including Google Play, which is renamed the Play Store and has the App Store icon.
The app that does not appear is Safari, instead we still have Chrome. In addition, all Google app are automatically included in an app drawer called “Folder without name”, but obviously, we can call it as we want or take out of there the apps that we consider appropriate.
Of course, it is possible to move the icons on the different screens to personalize our mobile to the maximum. There is also the option to select a wallpaper for the home screen and a different one for the lock screen, or choose the same in both cases. The Control Center is also fully customizable and functional.
Once we have configured everything according to our needs and preferences, the result leaves no room for doubt: our Android smartphone looks like an authentic iPhone. Even if we compare it with an Apple phone, it’s hard to find the differences, right? Yes, of the three usual Android buttons, forget about the central one because as soon as you press it, everything will go back to “normal”.
